History

In 1867, Wesley was founded in the home of two former slaves, an upstart church with a big dream of becoming a church that welcomes thinking people who were not actively involved in a church. These 152 years have been an amazing journey with thousands of people finding greater hope, purpose and meaning here in their lives. And, they have found that a church like this can quickly become a great place for personal connections and relationships that will last a lifetime. The life of our church is guided by the following statements:
Our Purpose is to build a Christian community of unity where non-religious and nominally religious people are becoming deeply committed Christians.
Our Journey is to know, love and serve God.
Our Vision is to become spiritually formed as a community of Christians seeking to win souls and make disciples.
